1. Basic principles of promoting mental health

There are certain principles that need to be followed to maintain and promote mental health.

Social aspects of mental health include measures to reduce social stress and provide a healthy living environment for each citizen, such as adequate recreational facilities; housing rehabilitation; control of alcohol, tobacco, and drug dependence; prevention of sexually transmitted diseases; and the establishment of community organization programs, health care institutions, and community mental health networks.
